It’s that time of year again! During the Holidays I manage a candy shop in my local mall- I love the job, but it  takes up a tremendous amount of my time and energy. That being said, I have loads of respect for anyone who works 40+ hours a week in retail! Personally, I prefer my few hours of “real work” on the weekends and having the freedom during the week to bounce back and forth from my home to my studio as I please.

I haven’t been able to dedicate the time I’d like to my clothing/accessory line since starting up See’s again, but it’s a goal of mine to go (at least) part-time with aendee in 2013. I’ve already met goals of mine regarding my line that I had forgotten I’d even set- getting my Etsy open and having my work in a local store. I’m so incredibly pleased about having my work in Unglued in downtown Fargo and my Etsy has slowly but surely brought me business. If I can dedicate 40 or more hours a week to selling candy I most certainly can start putting in some real work with something I’m so passionate about.

That being said 2013 has some exciting things in store. I’ve applied to participate in the 3rd annual Unglued Craft Fest and am keeping my fingers crossed! If aendee gets accepted I’ll have some serious catching up to do to have enough work ready by the early winter show but after slaving away at See’s this November & December I’m sure I’ll be eager to get back in the studio!
